Computer models are now widely used for simulations of acoustic behaviour in auditoria. However, the interaction of sound waves with complex architectural details is difficult to model digitally with great accuracy. Physical models are better able to do this and are still often used for high‐prestige projects where they can effective than digital models in demonstrate to clients and users the consequence of using alternative designs.
